The Direction of The Incredibles 2

When news broke out that The Incredibles 2 was announced, all fans (like myself) are pretty excited about it.

Director Brad Bird told Entertainment Weekly what is going on with the sequel:

“I don’t like unwrapping presents before Christmas. It’s very actively moving, and we’re excited about it. [We’re] trying to take it in some new directions. Hopefully it’s the same characters and feel, but going in a new direction. I mean, that’s the trick with a sequel. It’s repeating yourself, without repeating yourself.”

Star-Lord and Ego Expectations From GOTG Vol.2

Chris Pratt, the man that plays as Star-Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 tells what you can expect from his character and his father Ego in the upcoming movie. Here’s what he said:

“You’re going to see these characters having to endure the realities of being in a family. You’re talking about a guy who’s been longing to know who his father is for a long time. He’ll discover if that person lives up to the expectations he has in his head.”

Hell of High Water (2016 Review)

Today I saw one of the best movies of the year. I mean, I was blown away by how great this movie was and everything that went into it. From the acting, to the writing, to the cinematography and the soundtrack, this movies deserves all the high praise it earned.

Hell or High Water is a modern Western crime drama movie centered around two brothers, Tanner Howard (Ben Foster) and Toby Howard (Chris Pine) as they rob banks to earn enough money to help Toby’s family no longer be poor, the way he and his brother, Tanner grew up. But all the tension of robbing banks in Texas catches the attention of a Ranger, Marcus (Jeff Bridges), who will stop at nothing to bring these two down, despite how little or who is the mastermind behind it all.

Since August 12, reviews came in swarming from left and right, nothing but positivity, it was rated as the movie to see and people loved it, just like me. Starting off with the cinematography, the camera movements and design was incredible. The pacing was timed perfectly, with lots of wide shots, tracking shots, slow dolly shots and etc. It takes a genius to get those shots down right and Giles Nuttgens was the right man for it.

The cast was casted perfectly too. Foster and Pine had great chemistry on screen, so you could really tell they had a brotherly relationship going on. Bridges played a weary, old Ranger and since Bridges is getting kind of old, he really looked the part of a soon-to-be-retired Ranger from the force. Gil Birmingham would played as Bridges’ partner, Alberto Parker had great chemistry with Bridges, especially a Ranger who teased about Alberto’s race. Another awesome cast member is a old waitress that appears in the middle of the movie, who was this crappy old woman who demanded what you get to eat (one of the funniest scenes of the movie too).

The writing was done really well because when I was watching the movie, I got very sucked into that world of the movie and I usual don’t that involved with movies like that, so that means that the direction of this movie was great, to help the audience get emotionally involved.

Overall, the movie gets 5 gold stars! It is a must see. Go see it now before it’s too late.
